The goal at Dr. Bob’s is to empower you with skills that will help you control and manage your symptoms. I will help you get rid of your pain and return to your life as quickly and as cost effectively as possible.
A variety of approaches are used to accomplish these goals. The most powerful and cost effective is the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy.
The McKenzie Method involves the movement your body in specific ways to understand and diagnose your problem. You then employ your own movements for treating your problem. Results are rapid and predictable.
The technique is especially useful for those patients whose symptoms come and go. It typically takes 2 to 8 visits to diagnose, treat, and instruct the patient.
Robin McKenzie, a New Zealand physical therapist, first used his method in the 1960’s. Over the last 6 decades his method has become the most researched physical therapy method in the world. The methods and techniques have become more refined and are employed throughout the world.
The aim of the McKenzie Method is to empower the patients to fix their own problems. Once the patient understands how to accomplish this task frequent trips to the doctor’s office become unnecessary. The techniques can be employed anywhere.
X-rays and MRI’s are not needed. A few questions can help decide if this approach will work for you. If your symptoms vary, sometimes worse and sometimes better, I strongly urge you to call and talk to me. There is a very good chance you could be in command of your situation very quickly. This can be accomplished inexpensively, without drugs, surgery, or endless visits to the doctor’s office.
If you have back pain, headache, neck, or extremity pain this approach may be the answer you’ve been looking for.
